American Muslim Mom

As Salamu Alaikum

I am an American Muslim mother of 6. I am the only revert to Islam in my family. I found it quite hard to provide a balance for my children growing up in this society. I also found it quite hard to allow my children to have a relationship with non-Muslim relatives. Many of us who take shahada come across many different obstacles when trying to establish Islamic values in our little ones. Also, it can be a hardship on you attempting to maintain family relationships as a new Muslim.

Inshallah, I want to share my experiences and hardships with you all. I want to share my embarrassments and most proud moments. I can relate to being a muslim woman in this society, raising a family, and some of our hardships. I welcome you all to comment and post suggested topics or questions.
